Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan rolled up their sleeves

 

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development said: The trilateral meeting between Iran, Azerbaijan, and Russia is a step towards strengthening the North-South corridor and developing transit and energy cooperation between the three countries.

Farzaneh Sadegh, Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Head of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the trilateral meeting of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia, considered this meeting an important initiative to strengthen transport and transit connections, cooperation in the field of energy, and convergence of the three countries, and appreciated the efforts of the Republic of Azerbaijan in hosting this event.

She added: “I am confident that the positive results of this meeting can serve as a roadmap to developing transit infrastructure and strengthening transportation and energy connections between the three countries.

The head of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan also said about the Astara railway terminal: “Based on the agreement with the Azerbaijani side, it has been decided to take the necessary measures to complete and fully operate this project by the end of 2025.”
