The Director General of the Export Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs announced in a letter to the country’s executive customs that, in accordance with the executive directive of Shahrivar 1404 regarding the current year’s list of agricultural and food products with high water content, on the subject of paragraph (c) of Article 38 of the Law on the Seventh Five-Year Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is attached to the letter of the Minister of Agricultural Jihad and announced that, in view of the clarification in the aforementioned letter, virtual water effects from five products: dates, pistachios, figs, grapes, and tea will be removed from the current year’s list of agricultural and food products with high water content.
According to this decision, the export of the aforementioned products is exempt from paying virtual water duties, and the country’s customs are required to comply with it.
