The meeting of ambassadors of ECO member countries is an opportunity to introduce Zanjan’s capacities at the international level.

The head of the Foreign Ministry’s representative office in Zanjan province said: “Zanjan province’s hosting of the 300th meeting of ambassadors of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a valuable opportunity to introduce the province’s economic, tourism, and industrial capacities at the international level.”

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has three main pillars; the highest pillar is the Summit, which is held every four years, the second pillar is the Ministerial Summit, which is held annually, and the third pillar is the Ambassadorial Meeting of the member countries, which is held monthly in Iran.

Detailed planning by the governor’s office, the economic deputy, the chamber of commerce, and other private sector institutions has resulted in a variety of ideas and suggestions to be presented to the ECO ambassadors to make the best use of this opportunity.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ representative office in Zanjan province emphasized: “Zanjan province has high industrial, agricultural and human capacities, and our goal is to make the province known at the regional and international levels by holding such events.” In the past two years, more than 40 smaller international events have been held in Zanjan, and all participating foreign ambassadors have expressed their surprise at the province’s capacities.
